New York's Southern Tier is rich with art, wine and history. It is an area that is decidedly rural, but still has a wide-variety of urban centers. Take on the quaint shopping in Corning, the rich historical landmarks in Elmira, or the eclectic style of Ithaca.
The Finger Lakes is probably best known for its wine, but it is a haven for beautiful lake-side homes, quaint towns, and boating get-aways. All throughout the Southern Tier region, there is a rich variety of fairs and festivals, at all seasons of the year.
